Mr. Calvin (Rolf) Eckel is a Prescott native with deep roots in Yavapai County. He grew up in Prescott and is a fourth generation Yavapai County, Arizona native. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and his Master of Business Administration Degree from Northern Arizona University.
Rolf’s professional experience includes serving as the Director of Student Business Services/University Bursar at Northern Arizona University. Rolf was appointed by Justice of the Peace Arthur Markham to serve as the Court Administrator for the Prescott Justice/Prescott City Consolidated Courts. He served in that capacity for over five years.
During his service with the Prescott Justice/Prescott City Consolidated Courts, he has overseen growth in that Court as well as lean budget years. He has managed several automation projects including electronic citations, paperless MVD reporting and automated tax offsets. Rolf has a reputation of excellent customer service and conservative fiscal management.
While managing those challenges, he has found time to pursue career development opportunities. He is now a Certified Court Manager, a Certified Court Executive and a Fellow of the Institute for Court Management through the National Center for State Courts and the Arizona Administrative Office of the Courts.
In August 2012, Judge David L. Mackey Appointed Mr. C. Rolf Eckel as Court Administrator of the Superior Court in Yavapai County. Rolf commented, “The role of Court Administration is to support the Courts in Yavapai County to ensure all court customers receive prompt, courteous service and the Judges have the tools and resources needed to administer justice in a fair, efficient and timely manner.”
Rolf is married to Ronda Eckel and has two grown sons, Alex and Eric, step-son Kennan and daughters-in-law Josey, Brooke and Brianna.
