Mission Statement

The Yavapai County Law Library's mission is to provide access to legal information - print and non-print - and information services to the general public and the citizens, legal community and court staff of Yavapai County in a prompt, impartial, economical manner. The Law Library assists library and self-service users in locating resources to facilitate their research and provides access to legal forms for filing in the Superior Court of Yavapai County.

Collection and Resources

The Superior Court courthouse in Prescott, 120 South Cortez Street, Prescott, AZ 86303, has a staffed Law Library open 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday, closed weekends and holidays. It has a print collection consisting of Arizona Revised Statutes, Arizona Digest, self service forms, protective order forms, treatises, dictionaries and encyclopedias. Non-print resources are provided through public computers with free access to Westlaw, self service forms, AZPoint for protective orders, the Internet for other websites and MS Word. One public computer provides access to view Yavapai County Superior Court case documents. Self service forms, photocopies and computer printed copies are available for a fee.

The Superior Court courthouse in Camp Verde, 2840 N. Commonwealth Drive, Camp Verde, AZ 86322, has a very small unstaffed Law Library area open 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday, closed weekends and holidays. It has a print edition of the Arizona Revised Statutes. There is one public computer with free access to Westlaw, self service forms, AZPoint for protective orders, the Internet for other websites and MS Word.  There is a phone with a direct line to the Law Library in Prescott. The Clerk of the Superior Court in the same courthouse has self service forms available for a fee and has a public computer which provides access to view Yavapai County Superior Court case documents.
